Well an Australian woman, Chantelle, was filled with excitement after she won the winnings ticket at the horse race she attended. She was so excited that she posted a selfie with ticket in her hand on Facebook to share with her so called "friends". After posting the selfie, someone took the winning ticket number and collected her winnings.
Obviously Chantelle's excitement turned into disappointment. Her so called "friend" basically stole her money. It is sad because she does not know who the actual "friend" is that stole her ticket number and claimed her winnings. Could it be a close friend?
Chantelle learned a lesson the hard way. Maybe next time she will be able to use her winnings to buy a new pair of shoes. ;)

That's so sad! I would be so upset and embarrassed if that happened to me! You bring up a good point that it was more than likely it was one of her friends that probably took her money, not just some random guy. I think teaches us a lesson in Internet safety and privacy, not everything should be shared immediately online out of excitement.
ReplyDeletei'm really hoping she gets some shoes :)
